Dipper
Dipper. Dippers are such brilliant little birds often found bobbing around on rocks beside fast-flowing streams and rivers. They’re the only British songbird that can swim underwater, diving into the current to search for insects and other tiny creatures beneath the surface. I love this species and they're so well camouflaged with their russet necks and bright white bibs, it's so exciting to spot them when you do!

A note about handmade prints:
Each print is individually hand-printed, so no two prints will ever be completely identical. Small variations in ink coverage, pressure, texture and registration are a natural part of the linocut process, and you may notice tiny areas of ink, subtle marks or other little differences from one print to another. These are not flaws, but part of what makes each hand-pulled print unique.
The paper I use is also a beautiful handmade, fibrous cotton-rag paper, so you may see natural speckles, flecks and strands of different colours within the paper. These can sometimes be visible around the edges or through areas of the print. Each sheet has its own character, meaning every print is genuinely one of a kind.
By purchasing a handmade linocut print, you are embracing these natural variations and the individuality they bring to each piece.
