Barn Owl

Barn Owl. Inspired by a market I exhibited at, meeting Luna the owl who came to my stall. I loved looking at her delicate feathers and intricate details and markings. Their numbers have declined in parts of the UK, making the preservation of suitable grassland and nesting sites especially important.

A note about handmade prints:

Each print is individually hand-printed, so no two prints will ever be completely identical. Small variations in ink coverage, pressure, texture and registration are a natural part of the linocut process, and you may notice tiny areas of ink, subtle marks or other little differences from one print to another. These are not flaws, but part of what makes each hand-pulled print unique.
