It's not my usual sort of style or subject really, but it feels super poignant to me. I feel incredibly lucky that I grew up the way I did, immersed and encouraged to explore nature and wildlife - it's shaped who I am and it's something I get to share with my own children. I grew up with muddy knees, sandy feet, blackberry picking, watching ants nests, rockpooling for crabs and watching the birds... something that isn't so common now, but vital experience to make our kiddos care for the world around us and everything that lives in it.
