Fledglings

Fledglings. A little blue tit family grew in the nest box in my neighbours garden. The hungry fledglings were relentless in their repetitive, constant begging call at Mama, and it rather reminded me of my own household...! I took photos and videos of the family in spring, Mum and three chicks - all successfully fledged, and made a print that reminds me of my own family.

A note about handmade prints:

Each print is individually hand-printed, so no two prints will ever be completely identical. Small variations in ink coverage, pressure, texture and registration are a natural part of the linocut process, and you may notice tiny areas of ink, subtle marks or other little differences from one print to another. These are not flaws, but part of what makes each hand-pulled print unique.
